The women’s soccer team ahead of the Australia-New Zealand Women’s World Cup will have their last domestic evaluation match against Haiti.
The Korea Football Association (KFA) announced on the 30th that the women’s national soccer team led by coach Colin Bell will play a friendly evaluation match against ‘North and Central America’ Haiti on July 8th. The venue and time of the match have not yet been decided.
This is the first time the women’s national team faces Haiti in an A-match. Haiti, currently ranked 53rd in the FIFA Women’s Rankings, defeated Senegal and Chile consecutively in the intercontinental playoffs, earning a spot for the Women’s World Cup finals for the first time. In the World Cup, they are in Group D and face England, Denmark and China.
Coach Colin Bell of the women’s national team said, “The match against Haiti is the final step for our national team, which has been preparing for the World Cup. Through this match, we will check the physical and tactical status of the players and ensure that they are optimized for the first match against Colombia. It is also the last chance for the players to be included in the final 23-man roster. We look forward to a great farewell match in a stadium full of fans,” she said.
The women’s national team, which participated in the Arnold Clark Cup held in England earlier this year and played against powerful England, Belgium and Italy, played two domestic warm-up matches against Zambia last April.스포츠토토
The national team will be convened in June and go into final domestic training in preparation for the World Cup. On the 9th, the day after the game against Haiti, they will hold an event with the fans before departing for Australia on the 10th. An additional evaluation match is being planned in Australia.
The women’s national team, which belongs to Group H in this World Cup, will have their first group stage match against Colombia on July 25th in Sydney. Then, on the 30th, Adelaide will play the second match against Morocco, and on August 3rd, the third match will be played against Germany in Brisbane.
